Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated all over the World on 14th April every year. This day is actually the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, who was born on 14th April 1891, in Mhow town of Madhya Pradesh. He faced difficulties in completing his education as he was a Dalit. After completing his studies, he fought for the rights of Dalits and deprived sections of the Society. He demanded the reservation in the Constitution for deprived classes when he was made the Chairman of the Indian Constitution’s Drafting Committee. That’s why he is regarded as ‘God’ among Dalits. As he drafted India’s Constitution, he is also known as the “Father of the Indian Constitution.” In commemoration of his achievements and contributions in nation-building, Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated to pay homage to a great leader.
