Chandigarh and its surrounding areas constituted as union territory on November 1, 1966. It is the joint capital of Haryana and Punjab. The union territory covers an area of 114 sqkm.

Chandigarh is the best place to live in, the most beautiful city, the safest city. People should at least visit Chandigarh once in their lifetime.
