India has the second-largest population in the world. India is also knowns as Bharat, Hindustan and sometimes Aryavart. It is surrounded by oceans from three sides which are Bay Of Bengal in the east, the Arabian Sea in the west and Indian oceans in the south. Tiger is the national animal of India. Peacock is the national bird of India. Mango is the national fruit of India. “Jana Gana Mana” is the national anthem of India. “Vande Mataram” is the national song of India. Hockey is the national sport of India. People of different religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity and Judaism lives together from ancient times. India is also rich in monuments, tombs, churches, historical buildings, temples, museums, scenic beauty, wildlife sanctuaries, places of architecture and many more. The great leaders and freedom fighters are from India.

India, is a country of religious diversity. Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Christian, Muslim etc. religions are seen here with a similar view. India is a secular country.

  • India is praised for the unique diversity of many religions, regions and ethnicities that we all know as 'Unity in Diversity' which is an appropriate title. Apart from this, India is also making rapid progress in the field of technology, science and literature.

  • India is democratic country where the people of the country have the right to take decisions for the betterment of the country. A country where people of different caste, religion, culture and tradition live together.

  • In my country linguistic, religious, social and political diversity has played an precious role in making the Indian culture rich. The Hindu Dharm spread the felling of tolerance. Buddhism and Jainism spread the principle of non- violence and Islam spread the idea of one God.

There is much diversity among the people of India. We speak different languages, worship many gods and yet we all have the same spirit of India, we are running through all parts of our country binding us together. We have great unity in diversity, it is the country where diversity exists with strong unity and peace.
