Students only remember things that will be asked in the exams for short period of time and once the exam is over, they start learning new things for next exams hence, they are not able to learn from what they have studied.

It is quite true, exams only measure memory not learning of students. If it were not so, how could, though in some cases, students who did not study much, score more than those who had studied more. The examination system has many flaws in it; for example, marks can be scored by using unfair means also.

Since exams are a test of how much a student can retrieve and retain from their memory, the information they get to learn helps them only in passing the exams. Learning of a student shows how capable the student is in his real life, with learning comes the power of leadership in a student.
