One of the biggest challenges that environment is facing today is global warming. Global warming is the rise of temperature of the earth's surface and air. It is caused by increase of green house gases viz carbon dioxide and methane gas in the atmosphere. These gases are emitted owing to fuel burning. The other causes of global warming is deforestation. Urbanisation and Industrialisation are also the causes of global warming. The green house gases prevent heat radiation from the earth. The rise in temperature of the earth melts the ice stock of the poles and glaciers of the world.

The existence of life on earth will be in danger. So to prevent our earth from global warming, all countries should come forward to control the emission of green house gases. We must plant more trees instead of felling them. The emission of carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide that cause harm to the ozone layer must be reduced. Urbanisation and Industrialisation must be restrained. Solar and wind energy should also be used to protect the earth.
