Paragraph on how human beings are much superior to other living beings
Answers
Answer: Heya :)
We're not "just like" any other kind of organism on the planet. For mammals, we're defenseless, have a very limited area in which we can live (nighttime temperatures much below 50°F will kill us) and aren't really equipped to get our own food. About the ONLY thing we're superior in is intelligence. (And that's a fortunate accident. One single Hox gene changed timing, so our skulls don't fuse until we're about 21 - other apes are born with skulls that stop growing almost immediately after birth. If that gene hadn't changed, I'd be resting in my nest made of sticks, up in a tree, somewhere in Africa, and wouldn't be able to conceive of a world-wide communications system like the internet. Maybe some nice tasty termites tomorrow - and being able to think "tomorrow" would make me one of the most intelligent members of my species.)
Hope it helps .....!!!!
