World Environment Day (WED) is a yearly event held on June 5th to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action. I Visited the World Environment Day website.
Found what the WED environmental theme is for the year.
Checked out the activities that are already planned in my area.
Followed 4R principle: Refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Added a photo or video to the nature album to share my favorite spot.
Planned for garden space to include edible items.
Planted trees to increase oxygen in the air
Promoted World Environment Day on social media.
Planned about a concert to raise money for an eco-charity.
Collected recyclable items to reduce waste.
This is how I celebrated my World Environment Day.
Answer: Every year on June 5th, the World Environment Day (WED) celebration is organised to increase public awareness of the need of protecting the environment. The World Environment Day (WED), which is organised by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), is the culmination of environmental actions carried out all year by UNEP and other organisations and people all around the world. You get a chance to contribute your suggestions and initiatives for improving our planet by taking part in the festivities.
Explanation:
On World Environment Day, I first visited the website for World Environment Day and identified this year's WED environmental topic. Then I examined the events that are already scheduled in my neighbourhood where Refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle were observed. I shared my favourite location by adding a picture or a video to the nature album on Facebook. I helped my grandmother plant edible plants in our garden area and she made me understand how trees were planted to boost air oxygen. I further used social media to promote World Environment Day and even planned a performance to benefit an environmental charity in our locality. Lastly me and my friends gathered recyclables to cut down on waste.
This is how I observed World Environment Day this year.
