In order to care for dogs that are in need of long term treatment, Street Dog Care has set up a permanent Dog Care Centre. The main function of the SDC Dog Care Centre is to provide daily and intensive care for emergency cases, such as car accidents, severe infections and open wounds. The experience of the Street Dog Care Camp has shown that post-operation care is extremely difficult to provide to roaming dogs without a fixed home. The dogs are difficult to find and the healing process can therefore not be supervised and supported properly by the team

Provide the Dog with some food ( biscuits, leftover rice etc ) and water. For puppies, give milk and soak the biscuits in milk. Do not give any items which are hard to chew. Cerelac is a very good option for puppies as well.
If you have old rice bags or papers, place it on the ground. Preferably at a very closed place. Dogs like to sleep in closed and rough spaces. ( You must have seen dogs sleeping over a pile of mud)
If you can't do any of the above, report the dog to an Animal shelter like the CUPA or let's live together in Bangalore.
(But do take care of the dog until help arrives)
If they cannot come and pick up the dog, you go and drop the dog at the shelter.
Lastly, if you can adopt the dog,please do. A little caring goes a long way.
Indian dogs have better adaptability to our conditions and can stay without food for a long period of time. They have highly territorial instincts making them good watchdogs. Also, they are very friendly and easy to maintain.
Give them a home if you can.
