Water plays an important role in the existence of life.

Currently, there are many regions in the world that are facing extreme water scarcity due to saline groundwater and scanty rainfalls.

Also, in some areas, the groundwater is contaminated or it has been overused. Thus, these factors have to lead to drought situations and in these areas it has lead to water scarcity.

Furthermore, urbanization and industrialization have added to the problems where groundwater has been overused to fulfill the increasing demands of the population.

Our initiative can help and promote the conservation of water. Also, it can be spread awareness among the people about the importance of water. Additionally, the save water campaign helps people realize that the sources of fresh and pure water are very limited.

So, if it is overused that there are chances that they might not be able to fulfill the increasing demands of the population. Through this campaign, we can create awareness among the people about the benefits and preserving water and using it diligently.

'I am a Water Saviour!'

I am a Water Saviour. I neither waste this life-supporting resource, nor let other waste it. I have adopted this duty to save water for future generations. The moment I see any tap running, I rush to it and turn it off. I don’t throw any litter in any water body. I don’t over use this resource in any manner. I just use as much as is required.

Each one of us must adopt this Saviour’s attitude to water. If we don’t use it thriftily, our future may become dark. Besides being the base of all eating and drinking water is the force behind all the industry, agriculture, manufacturing and trade and commerce. No production of anything is possible without water. There would be no crops, fruits, vegetables, cereals, pulses if water would not give life and form to them! Similarly, dairy industry also flourishes on water.

So, it is our responsibility to conserve this life nectar. It is possible only through by changing our outlook towards this wonderful natural resource. Students can play a great role in conserving this life-giving nectar by being the volunteers and protectors of water. They can conduct rallies across cities and villages to make people aware of practices that preserve water.
