Eating is considered as one of the most important parts of our everyday living. Without which we can’t expect the life to exist. The foods we eat are the single source of energy and nutrition. Through the consumption of food we can get a glimpse of a person’s lifestyle. But you may be wondering what is healthy food? At times we get confused over what to eat and what not. We have been reading about health and care and healthy eating habits daily in newspapers, health magazines, online resources etc. Sometimes when you are hungry, you start eating a candy bar. After a few minutes you feel you are not feeling hungry now. How this happens? It is the sugar in candy which does the wonders in your blood. It carries the energy contained in sugar to your brain. When brain receives energy, it didn’t feel hungry.

A human body has to perform many tasks to stay alive. To perform the tasks, it requires energy to work. Energy comes from Food. The type of energy the body have depends upon the types of food the body takes. If the body takes foods that are not nutritious, then it will not act properly, as a result the body won't be able to perform the tasks, and if the body won't perform tasks properly then it will ruin and ultimately die. So, food does a major part in our lifes.
Un-healthy foods will make a body lazy, depressed and cause diseases; whereas healthy foods will make a body, fit, healthy and disease-free.
Healthy foods include the home-made foods. These include the nutritious ones i.e. vegetables, fruits, proteins, carbs, fats, vitamin, etc. Every food have its own value. They are all necessary, lack of specific nutrients may cause diseases. Healthy foods makes the body active and strong. It also helps in brain functioning.
