Answer:

When I was growing up I felt like most kids feel. I felt invincible and there was no way

that anything could ever happen to me. Back then I felt like anything was possible and I

could do anything without ever getting hurt. Throughout my life after seeing and hearing many things I learned this was not the case. I began to realize just how lightly I had been taking life. I believe that life is fragile and we can grow through witnessing death.

Several years later during my sophomore year in high school my close friend Joe was killed in a car accident. I was sitting waiting for everyone to show up to baseball practice when a couple of our teary eyed coaches come to us and tell us that Joe had gotten in a car accident. They told us that it was pretty serious and there was a chance he would not make it. Joe was on his way to baseball practice when his car was t-boned. No one on the team really knew how to react to the news they had just heard. The team had gone from being very talkative and happy to a sad silence. The accident happened literally right down the street from where we were going to be practicing. Joe was almost to the field when he got into the accident. A few hours later I was at home just sitting at home praying that Joe would be alright. I remember feeling sick to my stomach, but all I could do was hope and pray. Later that night I got the news that Joe had died in surgery. I was sad for many weeks after hearing the news, but I knew that God had a plan for him. Joe’s death showed me just how fragile life is and how quickly it can be take away.

Life is short and can be taken in an instant. Many things have happened throughout my life and have given me knowledge about just how life really is. During my life I have witnessed death and seen things that have left an impression on me. Through these experiences I have learned people should live their life, have fun, and when someone dies they go to a better place. God wants us to grow from all our life experiences and we should know that all things happen for a reason.
