Answer:

Indian Farmers are one of the most hardworking sector in the working population. They account for nearly 90 percent of the population of India. The farmers usually maintain a rented field, usually loaned from a zamindar or a rich landlord and sow their seeds and grow the crops. Some of them practice subsistence farming ; the outputs for which they use it for their own needs. Some of them practice commercial farming and sell their produce to bigger retailers and to the City. Lot of farmers are under the poverty line which makes them vulnerable to debt. Often, they are forced to sell their land or driven into suicide, which deteriorates the extent of production in the agricultural sector. The Government had also introduced several schemes in favor of these farmers, hoping that their working atmosphere is sound and safe.
