Mother Teresa was the second foreign women after Sister Nivedita,who devoted and dedicated her life to the service of the Indians particularly to orphans and destitutes.She made India her beloved country.Mother Teresa was born to Albino parents on 27th August 9010 in Yugoslavia.She became a nun at the age of 12.'To serve the sick and poor'was the mission of Mother.She really did a momoth task to the sick and poor in society.She used to wear white dress with blue border.She was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1979,Bharat Ratna 1980,Magsasay Award 1962 etc.This great Saint left this mortal world in Kolkata on 5th Sept 1997

Her earlier name was “Anjeze Gonxhe Bojaxhiu”. She was born on 26th August, 1910 at the then Yugoslavia (now Republic of Macedonia). She came to India in 1929. Mother Teresa was Roman Catholic nun moved to Calcutta's slum “to serve God among the poorest of the poor”
