When Mr. Sun takes a holiday, the day just doesn't start. There is no dawn and the roosters get too confused. They do not know whether to wake up the rest of the world or not. As for me, I cannot shake the sleep off, do not feel energetic and in fact feel a little disoriented. There is no sense of time. The flower buds too get perplexed. Their petals refuse to open up and smile. Instead, they simply droop as if life has lost its charm. By noon, there is greater disenchantment and utter confusion. Half the people have overslept because Mr.Sun did not brighten up the sky and they thought that it was still night. Some are late for school, some for work, some have missed feeding the dogs and others have forgotten to bathe! By evening, everyone is desperate for Mr.Sun to come back to work. The world really cannot afford to let him take an off, ever!
