My hero would be my uncle Kenny. I chose him as my hero because he’s a great person and he has always been teaching me right and wrong. He can make anyone that’s in a bad mood feel happy and make them laugh. Whenever I am sad or depressed, he usually cheers me up with a funny story from his life. It is strange how he never runs out of stories to tell.
My uncle Kenny is really my great uncle because he is my grandfather’s older brother, but everyone just calls him uncle. It is great how he keeps the peace in the family when something goes wrong or something unexpected happens. He always did the right thing. He has to watch my grandpa because they are brothers and must look out for each other. Ever since my grandfather had a second stroke not too long ago, my uncle Kennyhas been by his side the entire time.
My uncle Kenny is now retired from the military. He was in the army for a good thirty years or so. His last mission was just recently. About 4 years ago, he was still in the army and was called to Kuwait to assist the American forces. We had a going away party for him and my mom was crying because she did not want to lose her last uncle. I felt a little sad too, but I mainly felt pride. About 2 years ago, my uncle Kenny came home and my mom was relieved. I am always proud of my uncle Kenny, and he is always proud of me.
