In the 12th century a huge space object hit the moon. Had it collided with Earth instead, it would have caused human extinction. That is history, and threat, and proven.

Since climate models have proven unable to predict even the very near future or the very recent past, it is difficult for you to convince me that climate models can give anyone high confidence of any time.
