The joy of reading is truly incomparable as reading transports the reader into a totally different world providing an insight into different cultures and varying topics that holds a reader's interest. Reading not only helps the reader to attain knowledge but also plays an important role in building one's vocabulary. Reading provides food for thought and a good book tries to reach out to our inner self. Changing our outlook and viewpoint on how we perceive the world. Stephen king, has rightly said, “Books are uniquely portable magic”
Reading helps to lift ones spirits, making the reader slip into a space one can call one’s own, bringing great joy and comfort. Nothing can surpass that feeling of reading a great book that touches one's heart and subtly leaves behind a message. Reading also encourages us to think, to question as well as to discover a whole new world of imagination. Reading provides us many experiences, widening our outlook towards life. Reading also brings great joy and happiness leaving the reader with enriching emotional experiences and sometimes a personal connect with the story. For me personally, I find books a great source of inspiration as well as of constant companionship .My hunger for reading is insatiable.
Charles William Eliot, a famous English poet has very aptly described his love for reading by saying, “Books are the quietest and the most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors and the most patient of teachers”
