Let the common ratio be x
first parallel side = 3x
second parallel side = 4x
height = 24
ATQ
Area of trapezium = 1/2 (sum of parallel sides) * height
=> 840 = 1/2 * ( 3x +4x ) * 24
=> 840 = 1/2 * 7x * 24
=> 840 = 7x * 12
=> 840 /12 = 7x
=> 70 = 7x
=> 70/7 = x
=> x = 10
Therefore first parallel side = 3x = 3 * 10 = 30
second parallel side = 4x = 4 * 10 = 40
