HI

HERE IZ UR ANSWER.

This law comes under PCPNDT law which was formed back in 1994.
Sex determination was banned seeing the declining sex ratio rapidly.

As people were illiterate that time and didnt know the importance of girl child, they used to force doctors do pre natal sex determination test.
On basis of result, if there was girl child in mother's womb , then they would forced the mother to kill the baby in the womb only.

This activity was really common and due to which sex ratio declined at great pace.

This was why this law was made to restrict female foeticides in India..

HOPE IT HELPS..

Prenatal sex determination has been prohibited by law because of indiscriminate female foeticide. As a result of this, child sex ratio is declining at an alarming rate in some sections of our society. For a healthy society, the female-male sex ratio must be maintained.
