In India, we have a parliamentary form of Government where the real power lies with the Prime Minister and his Council of Ministers whereas the President is the nominal or constitutional head of the Country. He has to act according to the advice of the Prime Minister and his Council of Ministers. However, the President has some discretionary powers.
