Child abuse may be defined as any
attempt or action to harm a child
by the near ones. It is often done
by parents, teachers and the
elders or those who are closely
related to the child .In simple
words, it can be beating,
maltreatment and severe
punishment to a child. Physical
abuse is extremely dangerous to
the child and can result in
permanent physical and mental
disabilities. We need a decisive set
of laws to protect the rights of the
child inside the family. Abusive
parents must be punished. There
should be a helpline where the kids
can report to protect themselves.
Public awareness is very
important. It is better to start
awareness programmes on child
abuse in schools.​
