Part of the graph representing an electrical signal is shown. The voltage rises steadily from an initial value (A) to a maximum value (B). It then drops instantly to the initial value (C) and repeats such that || and and are vertical. If A = (1, 1) and B = (4, 3), what is the equation of ?

AB : 2x - 3y + 1 = 0

BC : x = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

See the attached figure.

The coordinates of A(1,1), B(4,3) and C(4,1).

Therefore, the equation of AB will be \frac{y - 3}{3 - 1} = \frac{x - 4}{4 - 1}

⇒ 3y - 9 = 2x - 8

2x - 3y + 1 = 0 (Answer)

Again, the line BC is parallel to Voltage-axis i.e. y-axis.

So, the equation of BC line will be, x = 4. (Answer)
