To Find :
The relative acceleration of particle A w.r.t B
Solution :
- Let us consider east as +ve X-direction and north as +ve Y-direction
- Acceleration of particle A = 5i
- Acceleration of particle B = 5√2 (i+j /√2) = 5i + 5j
- Relative acceleration = Acceleration of particle A - Acceleration of particle B
= 5j - (5i + 5j)
= -5i
The relative acceleration of particle is 5m/s² towards east
