Given   : Particle a is thrown vertically downward from a height h and particle b is thrown obliquely from the ground.

To Find :  acceleration of a with respect to b is

1. g

2. Zero

3. -g

4. 2g

Solution:

Particle a is thrown vertically downward

Hence acceleration of a wrt ground  =  g

particle b is thrown obliquely from the ground.

Hence acceleration of b wrt ground  =  -g

acceleration of a with respect to b is   =   g - (-g)

= 2g

Hence acceleration of a with respect to b is 2g
