Answer:

your answer is 13 m.

Explanation:

[As BC = AE (sides of a saquare)

and]BC = 12cm so AE = 12 cm

AB = CE = 6cm (opposite sides of a square)

if CD = 11

and CE = 6cm

then DE = CD - CE = 11-6 = 5cm

so by pythagoras theorem,

in triangle ADE ,

(AD)^2 = (AE)^2 + (DE)^2 [AE = 12 cm , DE = 5cm]

(AD)^2 = (12)^2 + (5)^2

(AD)^2 = 144+25

(AD)^2 = 169

(AD) = rt 169

AD = 13 m

AD = dispalcement = 13 m.
