Particles in water at 0 degree have more energy because they are in liquid state and therefore less force of attraction and more kinetic energy this results in high motion of particles and this results in high energy next the ice particles are bind together and have less kinetic energy

particles of water at0 degrees Celsius will have more energy because the ice which has converted into water needs heat energy to overcome force of attraction between the particles this heat energy is known as latent heat as the temperature of the water does not rises and because of extra heat in the form of latent heat water has more energy than ice at the same temperature
