Given :  points J (6, 17) and I (9, 16).

To Find :   mid-point of the segment joining the points

(i) (33/2,15/2)

(1) (3/2,1/2)

(iii) (15/2,33/2)

(iv) (1/2,3/2)

Solution:

J (6, 17)

I (9, 16).

Mid point of segment joining   J (6, 17) and I (9, 16).

= ( 6 + 9)/2 , ( 17 + 16)/2

= ( 15 /2) , ( 33/2)

Mid point of segment joining = ( 15/2  , 33/2)

option (iii) (15/2,33/2)  is correct
