Answer:

There are mainly 3 parts of ear:

Outer Ear

It consists of the pinna, which does the function of catching sound waves and directing them directly towards the middle ear. The sound waves when start vibrating the eardrum, the process of understanding the sound waves starts.

Middle Ear

There are three bones located here, namely, the hammer, anvil and stirrup. When the eardrum vibrates, they vibrate simultaneously causing the vibration to move towards the inner ear.

Inner Ear

It helps us to recognise the different sound waves. The cochlea, fluid in the ear, is tapped by the bones in the ear, it triggers the electrical nerve impulse. Through the auditory nerve, the sound waves are taken to the brain for recognition.
