Thank you for getting in touch with us for the answer of your query. In India, the party less democracy was first advocated by Jayaparakash Narayan. However, the good examples have not been set by the Nepal or Soviet Union. Moreover, neither Karl Marx nor Gandhi Ji supported the democracy of the party. I hope this reply answers your query well. I hope this answer will be helpful for you.

Two people supported the concept of partyless democracy in India. However, both of them put forward the proposal at two different times of Indian history.

The first person who suggested such a proposal was Jayaprakash Narayan. While he was never part of the government and its party politics, he was actively involved in criticizing the authoritarian policies of Indira Gandhi, the prime minister of his time. He initiated a reform movement that asked for partyless democracy to come into force.

The other person who showed interest in this concept was M N Roy.
