A banker had a dog and a cat. One night they heard a strange sound.
“I think a thief is trying to enter the house,” Cried the cat, “Run to the place but don't bark as
it will disturb the master's sleep.”
The dog did not make noise and bit the thief. The thief killed the dog and entered the house.
The cat saw him.
The thief then broke open an iron box and took out all money. The cat rushed upon
began to bite his throat. The man tried to free himself from its grip. He beat it hard. The cat bit his
throat and cut it open. The thief died. But the cat was badly injured. She also died.
The next morning the banker found the dog, the cat and the thief, dead. He was glad for the
safety of his
money
but
very sorry for the death of his pets.
