Well the passage is about the changing nature of Human beings. It has described about how we human being have change what we love and what we should use. Let's take example of moblie only. We all know that we are more comfortable to hide secrets in moblie rather than sharing with our own mother which was not happening earlier. Here, we are now loving phone and using our mom who buys phone for us.
