The passing mark out of 80 in class 7 is 27 i.e 33%.

  • As one can say CBSE has a rule that one should score at least 33 per cent to pass any subject and ensure one must be above 33 %. But if one tries their best they can score more than that or even 80% in their 7th.
  • Primarily, 33% of the total marks which is nearly 27 marks out of 80 is the cut-off to be passed in any subject in CBSE board examinations.
  • The CBSE has disclosed subject-by-subject passing marks for the class 10th and 12th exams. Each subject has a different minimum passing score. As per the CBSE leaflet, students in class 12 must obtain 33 per cent in theory and practical examinations individually, as well as 33 per cent in total in each subject. Students must receive a minimum of 27 out of 80 in theory-based papers such as English and Hindi to pass the exam.
