Internationalism is a political principle that advocates greater political or economic cooperation among states and nations. It is associated with other political movements and ideologies, but can also reflect a doctrine, belief system, or movement in itself.

Answer:

zen has for her own country, nation, or Kingdom. This need not foreclose deep admiration and alliances with other political communities, but a patriot gives some primacy to his or her own. Internationalism is compatible with patriotism, but an internationalist sees her community as one among other communities, each of which deserves consideration. The United Nations is an international institution insofar as its members are nations, but some of its rulings (such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights) applies to individuals in all countries (as well as to future generations). A cosmopolitan is someone who sees herself as a ‘citizen of the world.’ This may seem puzzling insofar as “the world” has not yet constituted a stable institutional united power that claims jurisdiction over all people; however, being a cosmopolitan seems to be more a declaration of one’s aspirations (one wants there to be a global civic community) than a straightforward description. ‘Cosmopolitanism’ can also be seen as a denial of patriotism, a refusal to prioritize one community over another. When someone declares him- or herself to be a cosmopolitan, they are foreswearing special allegiance to a single community.
