Elections are the only power that is left to the people of a democratic country. However, the only power has been manipulated by political parties of India. There are many ways through which a voter could be manipulated. Election campaign is one among them. If it is said more precisely then it is utilizing the patriotism.
Some candidates seems to use the patriotism of citizens in order to gain vote. Sometime they also indulge in caste and religion based election campaign. They know that it will cause fractures in sovereignty of the nation. In my opinion, things like patriotism, caste and religions should not be used to gain votes under any circumstance.
