Pawan lives at a distance of 4 1/2 km from the school. Sarita lives 3/4 km more than Pawan’s distance from the school. How far does Sarita live from the school?

we have to add 4 1/2 and 3/4 to do it we have to convert 4 1/2 into proper fraction that is 4×2+1=9/2 now 9/2+3/4 =36/8+6/8=42/8
