Step-by-step explanation:

let the numerator be x

then the denominator be x+8

on increaseing numerator by 17

= x+17

on decreasing denominator by 1

= x+7

a/q

x+17/x+7= 3/2

2(x+17)=3(x+7)

2x+34=3x+21

x= 13

hence numerator is 13

denominator is 13+8=21

fraction is 13/21
