"Peace is a never-ending process… It cannot ignore our differences or overlook our common interests"

Peace is needed in a society, for making progress. Peace is what brings people to live in harmony. A country should have peace. If citizens of a particular country won't have peace among themselves, then it is sure that the country will face a lot of damage or even bad, collapse. India is known for its unity in diversity. In India, we have different cultures, languages and religions. In this case, we need religious tolerance. Religion shouldn't be used as something to discriminate against. Everyone has to respect other religions. We need peace among ourselves, in this case we cannot ignore our differences in religion so what we should do is accept everyone's culture and traditions. Now just because we have differences doesn't mean we wouldn't have common interests, people from different religions may have the same ideologies. What has kept India going is our strong unity as Indians. Even though we do have religious intolerance still rooted in the minds of few people, majority of us have common love and respect for each other that has kept us unified. No religious tolerance among ourselves leads to fighting and strife and is equal to a war - which is fought among people who are meant to be one, it would harm our nation. So we should see to it that we respect and contribute to peace in our nation.

Hope this helps you ^^
