Jasmine revolution is referred to the Tunisian revolution, in which the president of Tunisia was forced out from the post of president, using protests by media organizations. This term also refers to Arab spring, which are anti government protests in the Middle East.

These revolutions were similar to Gandhiji's movement against British because they involved non- violent resistance, boycott, civil disobedience and silent protests.

The Tunisian revolution is called Jasmine Movement by the  media.

In this movement, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was forced out of the presidency by popular protests.

The Arab Spring, which began with the Tunisian revolution, was also called the "Jasmine Revolution" by some one.

It was an altogether peaceful protest which has stark similarity with Gandhiji’s movement against the British government in India.
