The Red Years were actually two year time period 1919-1920 of intense social and economic conflict in Italy fallowing the World War I. There were economic crises, mass unemployment and political instability. So There began peasant strikes and rural unrest and worker strikes. They called a general strike on 21st-22nd July in solidarity with Russian Revolution. So the people began to unite.

Mussolini took advantage of the situation and began his demonstration " March On Rome" and seized the power as dictator of Italy.
