Here the poet is trying to say that the poem, which he had written containing the qualities of his beloved is more durable, memorable, and have more shining than gold or silver statues erected by noble kings or rich persons. It will not be affected by ravages of time or war or natural force. It will be remembered till posterity. On the other hand statues and marble monuments get destroyes by the

time.
