Hi there,
This phrase is in accordance with Shakespeare's 55 sonnet, according to which he says that he has penned all his memories into a poem and nobody can take that away. He describes that like the huge gilded monuments built by great rulers and prince, can be taken down easily, his written words will stay alive forever.
Even the sword of mars is unable to run the words that he wrote because they are indestructible, unlike the stone and brick monuments.
I hope the answer is helpful.
Thanks
