Sir,
Through the column of your estimate daily, I would like to express the difficulties of deforestation.
Deforestation is a permanent destruction of forests in order to make the land available for other uses. Deforestation is considered to be one of the one of the contributing factors of global climate change. Deforestation has may negative effects on the environment. Seventy percent of the world's plants and animal live in forests and are loosing their habits to deforestation. Tree roots anchor the soil. Without trees, the soil is free to wash or blow away, which can lead to vegetation growth problems.
About half of the world's tropical forests has been cleared (FAO) Forests currently cover about 30 percent of the world's land mass. The cutting that does occur should be balanced by the planting of enough young trees to replace the older ones felled in any given forests. The number of new tree plantations is growing each year, but their total still equal a tiny fraction of the earth's forested land.
