Pencil boxes of dimensions 25 cm × 3 cm × 3 cm are packed in a big wooden box of dimensions 100 cm × 9 cm × 15 cm. how many pencil boxes can be kept? ​

The volume of the bigger wooden box is - {length x width x height} = 100cm x 9cm x 15cm = 13500 cm³

Now , volume of 1 pencil box is -  {length x width x height} = 25cm x 3cm x 3cm = 225cm³

hence , no. of pencil boxes that can be kept in the bigger box are -

   ( Volume of bigger box / Volume of 1 pencil box )

= 13500 / 225 = 60

Thus , 60 balls can be kept in the big wooden box.
