pencil when dipped in water in glass tumbler ,appears to be bent at the interface if air and water .why ?explain.​

As is known, apparent bending of pencil is due to refraction of light at the interface of air and water. No, the pencil will appear to be bent to different extents as refractive indices liquids are different and so are the values of velocity of light in the liquids.
