i.48

ii.pencil-4

eraser-3

EXPLAINED BELOW

i.

For minimum take out LCM of no. of pencils and no. of erasers

i.e,

pencils=6,12,18,24,30

erasers=8,16,24,32,40

so our LCM is

24

therefore, minimum number of pencils and erasers must be 24 so that there is one eraser per pencil.

ii.

erasers are in packages of 8

so to take no. of packages of erasers we will divide

i.e,

24÷8

=3

pencils are in no of 6

so to take no. of packages of pencils

we will divide

i.e,

24÷6

=4

no. of packages of pencils needed is 4

no. of packages of erasers needed is 3
