Pendulum clocks generally go fast in winter and slow in summer. Why?

During summer, length of thependulum increases due to which the time period T increases andpendulum takes more time to complete one oscillation. Thus itslow in summer. During winterlength decreases, decreasing the time period. Consequentlypendulum gains time and dock becomes fast.
