Deuteromycota are the imperfect fungi. Sexual reproduction has never been observed in them. Penicillium does not seem to have an actual sexual phase, and therefore, it is calssified under Deteromycota. It is multicellular and have erect hyphae, which possess the asexual conidiophores.
