Yes, the positive effects outweigh the negative ones , both from the buyer as well as sellers side. A business will not be able to survive in the absence of advertising . It can increase the returns from investment in advertising by keeping its expenses under control through proper planning.
Similarly a buyer will have difficulty in making an informed selection of goods and services in the absence of information that is disseminated through advertisement . So a buyer too can act intelligently and not get carried away by the glamour of ad world and reap good benefits.
