people living in certain areas have high incidence of skin cancer can you think of one possible cause for this?

the place where they are living has ozone hole which lets the harmful rays of the sun to reach the Earth surface causing skin cancer

due to high exposure to UV rays . people might be living near the place where ozone is depleted or the places where their skin is exposed to dangerous gases ( place near factories ).. Hope this is helpful.
