In Anees Jung's book Lost Spring : Stories Of Stolen Childhood she tells about the awful life of two boys . They were caught in the web of poverty .

People of Firozabad are living a life which is being transferred to them by their ancestors who were traditionally bangle makers . Their lives were spoiled by the stigma of caste and poverty . They were caught in the vicious circle of sahukars , policemen and middlemen . The future of children living there is uncertain and indistinct. . They are living there life making bangles in a dingy and dark room before high temperatures. Many of them are losing eyesight in early ages . They are not aware of the lives beyond the slum .

If they start to build an organised life , the high ranked people never allows them . They are brutally treated and arrested for no reasons . For them they are a source to earn money and not even treated as human beings. So these people are confined to the slum and were freezed by mind numbing toil.

Only government officials and leaders can take an initiate over them . If the government and responsible authorities or media took over this matter and freed them from the vicious circle of crooked men , they will able to start a peaceful and happy life. The children could see a bright future and live healthy .

Hopes it helps.

Thank You
